On the second day of the 31st National Karate Championship in Abbottabad, Pakistan Army players won first position in three out of the four categories and won three gold medals due to their excellent performance. Punjab is second with one gold medal and Pakistan WAPDA is third with two silver and one bronze medals. Four medals were decided on the second day of the 31st National Karate Championship held for the first time at the historic Government Postgraduate College No. 1, Abbottabad. In the under-84 kg weight category, the field was in the hands of Pakistan Army’s Muhammad Asim, who won the gold medal for his team, while Pakistan Railways’ Muhammad Asad won the second position and silver. Punjab’s Zaid Rasool Nizami and Sindh’s Moiz Ali were successful in jointly winning the bronze medal.
Similarly, in the over-84 kg weight category, Punjab’s Mirza Zubair Ahmed was declared the national champion due to his excellent performance. And won the gold medal, defeating the strong player of Pakistan Army Adnan Ahmed in the final. Adnan Ahmed won the silver medal. Farooq Ahmed of Sindh and Baz Muhammad, a national player of WAPDA, were limited to the bronze medal this time. In the individual kata of the 31st National Karate Championship, Irshad Ali of Pakistan Army was the leader in winning the gold medal due to his brilliant kata. Muhammad Shahbaz of Pakistan WAPDA was his closest rival, who won the silver medal.
Syed Kabir Ali of Sindh and Shahram Hussain of Balochistan were successful in winning the bronze medal. Similarly, in the team kata, the field was in the hands of Pakistan Army. The Pakistan Army kata team consisting of Irshad Ali, Saifullah, Muhammad Fayyaz and Waheedullah showed their skills and won the gold medal. The team consisting of Muhammad Shahbaz, Haris Nadeem, Gul Zaman and Shahbaz Ahmed of Pakistan WAPDA won the silver medal. Shah Weiz, Ghulam Mustafa Kasi and Shahryar and KP K, K Haris Habib Abdullah Haroon, Waris Habib and Misbahullah were successful in winning the bronze medal.
