At Government Graduate College (Pinwal), a spectacular display of Punjabi culture, music, and literature was witnessed as students and teachers enthusiastically celebrated Cultural Day.
The event featured various activities by students and teachers, providing the audience with a vibrant glimpse of the Punjabi language, literature, and music. Beautiful Punjabi poetry was recited, while different student groups captivated the audience with traditional Punjabi songs. The famous Pinwal singer group, led by Resham Butt and Chaudhry Shahid, performed local folk songs and received great applause. Later, local artists Khizr and Ghulam Ali enchanted the audience with a mesmerizing rendition of Saif-ul-Malook.
On Cultural Day, students performed traditional dances, including Sammi, along with other cultural songs, earning enthusiastic applause.
The stage was beautifully decorated by First-Year Arts students, reflecting Punjabi culture and traditions. Meanwhile, Second-Year Arts students set up a special cultural corner, showcasing various aspects of Punjabi heritage.
The event was organized under the leadership of Professor Shahid Azad and Professor Qasim Abbas from the English Department, with full support from other members of the organizing committee.
Vice Principal Sohail Malik congratulated the students and faculty for putting together a fantastic event and reaffirmed the commitment that curricular and extracurricular activities will continue at Government Graduate College Pinwal in the future.
