ISLAMABAD, June 19, 2026: Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC) has increased its working interest in the Qadirpur Development and Production Lease (D&PL) to 82.99% by acquiring an additional 7.99% stake from M/s KUFPEC Pakistan B.V. (KPBV) under a Farm-in Agreement.

The transfer was completed following approval from the Government of Pakistan and the execution of a Deed of Assignment (DOA) in accordance with Rule 8 and Rule 9 of the Pakistan Onshore Petroleum (Exploration and Production) Rules, 1986.

This acquisition raises OGDC’s total working interest from 75% to 82.99%, consolidating its position as the major operator of the Qadirpur D&PL, one of Pakistan’s key gas-producing fields. The planned transaction was initially disclosed by OGDC on January 23, 2025.

The expanded stake allows OGDC to strengthen its operational control and continue development and production activities in Block 2667-1, contributing to Pakistan’s domestic gas supply and energy security.
