NUST honours students for achievements in national and international competitions

ISLAMABAD: National University of Sciences and Technology held its annual High Achiever Awards Ceremony in Islamabad to recognise students for outstanding performance in national and international co-curricular competitions.

The ceremony took place at Jinnah Auditorium and was organised by the university’s Student Affairs Directorate to honour students who represented NUST at various events during 2025.

Speaking as chief guest, NUST Pro-Rector Academics Dr Osman Hasan highlighted the importance of holistic student development as part of the university’s academic vision.

He appreciated the dedication and hard work of students who achieved distinction in different fields despite stricter eligibility criteria introduced for this year’s awards.

Students recognised for national and international success

According to NUST, hundreds of nominations were received for the awards, with students recognised for achievements in both international and national competitions.

The ceremony honoured students from the NUST H-12 Campus, College of Aeronautical Engineering, Military College of Engineering, College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, and Military College of Signals.

NUST said separate ceremonies would also be held for students from Pakistan Navy Engineering College and NUST Balochistan Campus at their respective campuses.

Focus on student excellence and development

University officials said the annual awards ceremony reflects NUST’s focus on encouraging academic excellence, innovation and student participation in co-curricular activities.

The event brought together students, faculty members and university officials to celebrate achievements across a wide range of national and international platforms.
