Nora Fatehi’s latest song, Sarke Chunar from the movie KD: The Devil, has been banned following widespread outrage over its shock value and suggestive lyrics. Released just two days ago, the song quickly went viral, with many criticizing the lyrics, which were perceived as describing a ‘sexual act’.
The issue was raised in the Lok Sabha by Samajwadi Party MP Anand Bhadoria during Question Hour, who highlighted concerns over the influence of unchecked content on OTT platforms and social media. In response, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw confirmed that the song had already been banned.
