DAVOSNestlé has announced an additional $60 million investment to expand its operations in Pakistan, reinforcing its long-term presence in the country and plans to scale up export-oriented manufacturing.

The announcement was made on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos during a high-level business roundtable chaired by Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Muhammad Aurangzeb. The investment comes as Pakistan seeks to attract foreign capital and strengthen industrial growth amid ongoing economic reforms.

Remy Ejel, Nestlé’s Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer for Asia, Oceania and Africa, said the company would undertake a significant expansion of its operations in Pakistan, reaffirming its long-term commitment to the market.

According to an official statement, Nestlé plans to position Pakistan as a regional manufacturing and export hub, supplying products to 26 countries from within the country.

Ejel said Nestlé expects sustained growth in Pakistan in the coming years, pointing to the country’s large population, rising demand for nutrition products and relatively underdeveloped value-added food segments, which he said mirror growth patterns previously observed in Southeast Asia.

He also highlighted Nestlé’s global footprint, noting that the company operates in more than 180 countries, employs over 277,000 people worldwide and reported global revenues of approximately $114.25 billion in 2025.

Welcoming the announcement, Aurangzeb described the investment as a positive signal of confidence in Pakistan’s economic direction. He reiterated the government’s commitment to policy consistency, strengthening the tax framework and facilitating long-term private investment, including through the Tax Policy Office within the Finance Division.

He added that Pakistan offers opportunities in affordable nutrition, climate-resilient dairy, local sourcing and export-focused manufacturing, and said the government aims to position the country as a competitive base for regional production and global value chains.

Last month, Nestlé Chief Executive Officer Jason Avancena highlighted progress in Nestlé Pakistan’s technology-driven manufacturing, saying facilities in Sheikhupura and Khanewal are now fully automated and connected to global diagnostic systems, placing them on par with leading Nestlé plants worldwide.
