RAHIM YAR KHAN: A resident of Sadiqabad has been facing difficulties after finding that he was recorded as deceased in the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) system while trying to obtain B-Forms for his children.
Falak Sher, a resident of Chak No. 5-NP in Lakarr Wali village, visited a NADRA office to process B-Forms for his children. However, officials informed him that the record showed him as deceased.
The issue did not appear to be limited to the NADRA record. According to Falak Sher, he later visited his Union Council, where he also found his status recorded as deceased.
Citizen Seeks Correction of Record
Falak Sher said he had visited several government offices in an attempt to correct the record but had been unable to resolve the issue.
According to the citizen, NADRA officials told him that he would first have to provide proof that he was alive before the B-Forms for his children could be processed.
“I do not understand whether I am alive or dead,” Falak Sher said, describing the difficulties caused by the record.
The case has left the citizen seeking correction of his official status so that he can complete documentation for his children.
