ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly on Friday unanimously approved a resolution condemning Israel’s continued aggression against the people of Palestine.
The resolution was supported by Shazia Marri, a member of the National Assembly of the Pakistan People’s Party.
She said the resolution was signed by all political parties in the House.
The resolution recognized the day as the International Day Against Islamophobia and reiterated that Islam is a religion of peace, tolerance and acceptance.
“The House recognizes this day as the International Day against Islamophobia. It reiterates that Islam is a religion of peace, tolerance and acceptance,” the resolution reads.
The resolution “categorically condemns Israel’s war against Palestine, where the latest attack cost the lives of 21 Palestinians queuing for aid during the holy month of Ramazan, condemns continued Israeli aggression that has led to the loss of more than 30,000 lives since October.” 7, 2023.”
She called on the federal government to play a more active role in pushing the international community to enforce a ceasefire.
