MUZAFFARGARH: The Education Department has directed government schools in Muzaffargarh to grow seasonal vegetables alongside their regular educational activities, according to an official circular issued to school heads.

The department has instructed schools to ensure vegetable cultivation on their premises and appoint a designated staff member to oversee planting, watering and maintenance. The initiative applies to government educational institutions where suitable space is available for cultivation.

Schools Told to Monitor Vegetable Production

According to the circular, schools where vegetable production has not been satisfactory should undertake cultivation again. School administrations have also been directed to ensure that planted vegetables receive timely watering and proper care.

The department further instructed schools to regularly share photographs documenting the cultivation and maintenance of the vegetables.

Headmasters Directed to Ensure Compliance

The Education Department has directed all government school headmasters to strictly implement the instructions and ensure proper supervision of the cultivation activities.

The directive makes vegetable cultivation an additional responsibility for schools as part of the department’s instructions for educational institutions in the district.
