ATTOCK: President of Imambargah Panjtani Attock City, Syed Raza Naqvi, has called for unity, peace, and cooperation during Muharram-ul-Haram.
He said Muslims should remember the sacrifices and sufferings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS), the grandson of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), and his family with respect, love, brotherhood, and according to their own beliefs and traditions.
Call For Unity During Muharram
Syed Raza Naqvi said Muslims in different parts of the world continue to face oppression and hardship. He said unity and solidarity are the need of the hour.
He expressed these views while addressing a general meeting held at Imambargah Panjtani Attock City in connection with arrangements for Muharram gatherings and processions.
Responsibilities Assigned For Processions
During the meeting, participants were assigned various responsibilities for Muharram-ul-Haram.
Administrative matters related to majalis and processions were also discussed in detail to ensure peaceful and orderly arrangements.
Appreciation For Punjab Government Measures
Syed Raza Naqvi thanked Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for the facilities provided during Muharram processions and gatherings last year.
He said the administration had set up cold water and sherbet stalls at different points, which provided relief and convenience to mourners.
He also appreciated the provision of mobile toilet containers along procession routes. He said the facility helped mourners avoid difficulties during processions.
Appeal To Follow Government Instructions
Syed Raza Naqvi said it is the responsibility of all participants and organizers to fully implement the instructions issued by the government.
He urged all stakeholders to play their role in maintaining a peaceful environment during Muharram-ul-Haram.
Demand For Route Repairs And Lighting
Syed Raza Naqvi demanded that Sardar Aftab Ahmed, the responsible officer of the Municipal Committee Attock, ensure the early completion of construction and repair work on procession routes.
He also called for proper lighting along procession passages, especially at night, to facilitate mourners and maintain smooth movement.
District Administration Urged To Cooperate
He appealed to the district administration to extend full cooperation to mourners during Muharram-ul-Haram.
He said the concerns of mourners should be addressed so that majalis and processions can be held peacefully, orderly, and in a dignified manne
