Renowned Islamic scholar Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani has welcomed the joint defence agreement concluded between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye in Makkah, describing the development as a source of happiness and reassurance for the Muslim world.
In a statement, Mufti Taqi Usmani said the agreement between the three brotherly Muslim countries was an important step towards strengthening mutual defence, cooperation and solidarity.
He particularly welcomed the fact that the agreement was concluded in Makkah, near the Holy Kaaba, describing the location as a matter of blessing and significance.
Mufti Taqi Usmani congratulated the governments of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye on the development and prayed that the agreement would contribute to greater unity, mutual trust and collective security among the Muslim Ummah.
