Lower Dir : Renowned religious scholar Mufti Samiul Haq has urged women and men graduating from religious madrasas across Pakistan to play an active role in promoting Islam and building a society free from sectarian prejudice.
He expressed these views while addressing the annual Dastar Bandi and Khatam-ul-Quran ceremony at Madrasa Omar Bin Khattab in Kalpani Talaash, Lower Dir, where he was the chief guest. Mufti Samiul Haq, who is associated with Jamia Miftah Uloom, said that madrasa graduates carry great responsibility as society places high expectations on them.

He said that after spending eight to ten years in religious education, scholars, muftis, reciters, and other graduates should focus on reform and guidance rather than contributing to division or sectarian tension. He stressed that madrasa graduates should work to eliminate social evils, promote tolerance, and strengthen brotherhood and mutual respect in society.
Mufti Samiul Haq added that restoring public trust in religious institutions requires positive engagement, moral leadership, and efforts to spread peace, love, and unity based on Islamic teachings.
The ceremony was also addressed by the head of the madrasa and young religious scholar Mufti Iftikhar-ur-Rehman, along with Maulana Amir Muhammad, Maulana Muhammad Yasin, Mufti Owais Qasim, Haji Ijaz Ahmed, Maulana Qari Saeedullah, Engineer Bashir Ahmed, and former Tehsil Nazim Riaz Muhammad.
At the conclusion of the event, turbans were placed on the heads of graduating students, and certificates were distributed among them.
