KARACHI: Two new Mpox cases have been reported in Karachi, taking the total number of confirmed cases in Sindh this year to 96, according to hospital sources.
The latest patients include a 21-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, both of whom tested positive on October 21.
The young man is currently receiving treatment at the Sindh Infectious Diseases Hospital, while the woman has returned home.
Sindh has recorded 96 confirmed Mpox cases and 11 deaths so far this year. Health experts advise people experiencing symptoms to seek medical guidance rather than self-treating.
Avoiding close contact with infected individuals, maintaining hand hygiene and keeping personal belongings separate can help reduce the risk of transmission.
