Massive protest rally was held in Dadu, led by Pakistan Peoples Party MPA Barrister Pir Mujeeb ul Haq, against the federal government’s plan to construct six canals from the Indus River, large number of party workers, sympathizers, social activists, and citizens participated in the protest, Key participants included Vice Chairman Khalid Hussain Mirani, social activist Muhammad Bakhsh Korai, Imdad Dawach, Imtiaz Panhwar, Ghulam Haider Khoso, Pir Amir Ali, Roshan Chandio, Shahmeer Chahwan, Ahmed Nawaz Solangi, Liaquat Soomro, Rustam Qambrani, Nazir Qambrani, Tahir Lighari and others, The rally began from Pir House and culminated in a sit in protest in front of Dadu Press Club, where participants chanted powerful slogans against the canal project, Addressing the protest MPA Barrister Pir Mujeeb ul Haq stated, We outright reject the plan to construct canals from the Indus River.

Just like the Kala Bagh Dam project was scrapped, we will also fight and defeat this canal project under the leadership of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Asif Ali Zardari.
