Antigua and Barbuda Falcons captain Moeen Ali ended the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 celebrations with a “Free Palestine Always” message after leading his side to their maiden title.
The Falcons defeated Jamaica Kingsmen by eight wickets in the final at Kensington Oval, chasing down 171 with eight wickets in hand. The victory secured the franchise’s first CPL championship.
Speaking after the match, Moeen said the achievement was about more than his personal success and credited the franchise’s players, coaching staff and everyone involved in the campaign.
He described the tournament as a difficult but rewarding journey, saying the team had supported one another throughout the competition and enjoyed their time together.

Moeen praised the Falcons’ performance in the final and across the tournament, while also acknowledging the impact of dew during the match.
He also thanked supporters in Antigua for their continued backing, saying the championship belonged in part to the people who had consistently supported the team.
The Falcons completed the successful chase after Jamaica Kingsmen posted 170 for nine, with Pakistan batter Maaz Sadaqat scoring 114. Pakistan spinner Sufyan Muqeem then played a key role with four wickets for 14 runs as the Falcons secured the title.
At the end of his post-match remarks, Moeen raised the slogan “Free Palestine Always.”
