Islamabad: Mobilink Bank has installed a solar power system at the Digital Arts Lab operated by Zindagi Trust at Khatoon-e-Pakistan Government Girls Secondary School to ensure uninterrupted electricity for digital learning.
The solar system has been installed to address power disruptions affecting the Digital Arts Lab, which relies on continuous electricity for computers and digital equipment used in instruction.
The lab currently serves around 320 students from grades 6 to 8. School officials said the facility will also support future student cohorts enrolled in the program.
Collaboration between Mobilink Bank and education trust
The project was implemented in collaboration with Zindagi Trust, which manages the Digital Arts Lab as part of its work in public sector schools.
Commenting on the initiative, Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mobilink Bank, said access to reliable energy is necessary for effective digital education.
Zindagi Trust stated that the use of renewable energy supports technology-based learning in schools where infrastructure limitations exist.
