Islamabad: Despite the passage of three weeks, the mobile phone of Editor-in-Chief Daily the Public purview has not been recovered. It may be recalled that on November 23 Adnan Arif son of Hafiz Muhammad Arif, resident of Kashmir Plaza Ghauri Garden, Flat No. 102 Street No. 6, went out for a walk in Islamabad, Zabih Road, and Sector F-8/4 when an unknown motorcyclist snatched his mobile phone, iPhone 14 Pro and fled away. An FIR has been registered in Margalla Police Station Islamabad but his mobile phone has not been recovered from the suspects yet.
It has reported in many newspaper that the increase in incidents of snatching mobile phones in the federal capital has made the lives of citizens difficult. According to the citizens due to incidents of vandalism in the densely populated areas, it has become impossible for employees and businessmen to go out for a walk, while actions are not being taken on the FRs registered with the local police, which has further disturbed the citizens. The citizens have demanded from the higher authorities to further tighten the security of residential areas of capital.
