Islamabad: Former Supreme Court judge and recently appointed the head of the missing, judiciary (Retd) Faqir Muhammad Khokhar, died on Wednesday. The government appointed him to lead the commission a week ago. His family confirmed his viewing. His funeral prayer will be held today in Lahore after prayer ASR. Khokhar’s justice was among the judges who had an oath under the interim constitutional law (PCO) after the Gen (Retd) pervez Musharraf declared an emergency in 2007. In 2008 he worked as the ruling Chief Election Commissioner Pakistan. In 2009, the then President Asif Ali Zardari accepted his resignation together with Judge M. Javaid Buttar after both judges faced the prospects of questioning the Supreme Judicial Council for an oath under PCO. In 2020 he served as an independent judge to hear the attraction of Umar’s cricket in the event of a place repair. Akmal was found guilty of violation of Article 2.4.4 Pakistanic cricket council (PCB) against the Corruption Act in two separate incidents. Khokhar reduced Akmal’s suspension from three to 1.5 years.
