Mirpur police have launched an extensive crackdown on criminal activities, leading to the recovery of 33 bottles of alcohol, 200 grams of heroin, 120 grams of hashish, 50 grams of crystal meth (ice), two pistols, and the arrest of a gang involved in rickshaw theft and a wanted fugitive, according to the police spokesperson.
Significant Arrests and Recoveries
Dediyal Police Station (led by SHO Rashid Habib) arrested Muhammad Nadeem from Batrooi and recovered 10 bottles of alcohol.
In an earlier operation, Hassan Amir (resident of Ratta) and Basit Younis (resident of Mohra Kanial) were arrested from Sadiqabad, leading to the recovery of 5 bottles of alcohol.
Bypass Road Operation: Police arrested Amir (resident of Chambi Gujran) and Altaf Hussain (resident of Siraj Colony), recovering 18 bottles of alcohol.
Sandal Cross: Suspect Anees was arrested with 120 grams of hashish.
Tara: Faisal Ikhlaq was arrested with two 30-bore pistols and four rounds of ammunition.
Jatlan Checkpoint:
Faheem Shakoor (resident of Dalu Chak) was caught with 200 grams of heroin.
Gul Nawaz (resident of Bains Pul Munda) was found in possession of 50 grams of crystal meth (ice).
