Islamabad, April 1, 2026 — A groundbreaking global initiative has been launched to identify the most influential individuals and initiatives of the 21st century through a strict merit-based evaluation system, moving beyond popularity and fame-driven recognition.

The project, titled Quarticentennial Merited Impacts Gazette (2000–2025), introduces a comprehensive analytical framework aimed at documenting the most meaningful global contributions made during the first 25 years of the millennium. Organisers describe it as a “categorical mirror” of modern history, capturing paradigm-shifting impacts across multiple domains.

Unlike traditional rankings, the system is built on the principle of “Sovereignty of the Unadorned Merit,” ensuring that individuals are assessed solely on documented achievements and measurable global influence.

A shortlist of approximately 180+ finalists has been selected from nearly 1.9 million candidates across 195 countries. The global public has now been invited to participate in an international opinion poll, serving as a validation layer within the broader merit-based evaluation.

At the core of the system is the Merited Impact Value (MIV) — a 1,000-point scoring mechanism that evaluates contributions across four dimensions: humanitarian impact, scientific advancement, resilience in crises, and cumulative global influence.

A panel of 150 independent assessors is overseeing the evaluation through a structured methodology known as the “Axiological Architecture,” ensuring transparency and evidence-based assessment. Contributions are verified through credible sources such as academic records, institutional documentation, and authenticated archives.

The evaluation framework also includes a centricity focus system, analysing contributions from human, knowledge, nature, and holistic perspectives. Impacts are further categorised into areas such as social justice, scientific innovation, environmental stewardship, youth leadership, athletic excellence, and legacy contributions.

According to organisers, the initiative aims to redefine global historiography by replacing fame-based recognition with merit-driven documentation of real-world impact.

The final results of the Quarticentennial Merited Impacts Gazette are expected to be officially announced after May 2026.
