ISLAMABAD, November 2, 2026: Mercedes-Benz is set to introduce its fully electric CLA 200 with EQ Technology in Pakistan on November 6, bringing the latest generation of its luxury four-door coupé to the local market with an all-electric powertrain, advanced digital features and rapid-charging technology.
The new Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 will make its local debut through Shahnawaz (Pvt.) Limited. Its official price, equipment specifications and ownership package will be announced at the launch.
Unlike the previous petrol-powered CLA, the new model is built on Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA), a platform developed to support electric and electrified vehicles.
The CLA 200 also introduces the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), alongside an updated MBUX infotainment interface featuring artificial intelligence-powered voice assistance.
The upcoming model has already attracted international recognition, winning the European Car of the Year 2026 award with 320 points from 59 automotive journalists representing 23 countries.
The achievement marked Mercedes-Benz’s first victory in the competition since 1974, when the 450 SE/SEL received the award.
The electric CLA was also named Euro NCAP’s Best Performer of 2025 after achieving the highest overall safety score among vehicles assessed that year.
According to international specifications, the electric CLA 200 is powered by a rear-mounted motor producing 224 horsepower, supported by a battery with a usable capacity of 58 kWh.
Mercedes-Benz claims the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds.
The UK-market Sport variant offers a claimed driving range of up to approximately 528 kilometres under the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP).
One of the model’s major technological features is its 800-volt electrical architecture, which supports DC fast charging at up to 200 kW.
Under suitable charging conditions, Mercedes-Benz claims the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes.
The redesigned CLA retains its distinctive four-door coupé profile while introducing a new illuminated front panel, flush door handles and a more aerodynamic body.
The manufacturer claims a drag coefficient as low as 0.21 for the most aerodynamically efficient configuration.
Inside, the new model features a redesigned digital cockpit, while the MBUX Superscreen is available on selected international variants.
The CLA 200 will enter Pakistan’s growing luxury electric vehicle segment, where models such as the Audi A6 e-tron are already available.
However, the exact features offered to Pakistani buyers may differ from international specifications.
The November 6 launch is expected to clarify the vehicle’s local pricing, available variants, warranty coverage, after-sales support and charging compatibility.
These details will be important in determining how the electric CLA 200 competes in the premium electric vehicle market.
