MARDAN: All necessary arrangements for the smooth and successful conduct of the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) in Mardan have been finalized, with 5,459 male and female students scheduled to appear in the examination on September 20, 2026.
A review meeting on MDCAT preparations was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Mardan Division Habibullah Arif. Deputy Commissioner Mardan Wasif Rehman, SP Investigation Maria Mustafa, the focal person of Khyber Medical University, District Health Officer, and representatives of PESCO, Rescue 1122 and Special Branch attended the meeting.
The meeting was informed that the MDCAT would be conducted in 10 examination halls across six different venues in Mardan, where the 5,459 candidates would take the test.
Officials reviewed arrangements concerning examination centres, security, traffic management, uninterrupted power supply, healthcare facilities, emergency response and other administrative matters.
Commissioner Habibullah Arif reviewed the district-level preparations and directed all relevant departments and institutions to complete their arrangements well ahead of the examination.
He instructed the police, Rescue 1122, Health Department, PESCO, district administration, Special Branch and other concerned departments to ensure foolproof security, uninterrupted electricity, emergency response and necessary medical facilities at all examination centres.
The commissioner also directed all departments to perform their assigned responsibilities in close coordination to ensure the peaceful, smooth and successful conduct of the examination.
Emphasizing the importance of MDCAT to the academic and professional future of students, Commissioner Habibullah Arif said all relevant institutions should provide maximum possible facilities to candidates and ensure that the test is conducted in a transparent, peaceful and orderly manner.
