ATTOCK — A newly constructed Masjid Fatima Al-Zahra was inaugurated at the Attock Sub-Campus of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) during a ceremony attended by university officials, faculty members and students.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman formally opened the mosque as chief guest, marking the completion of a project aimed at providing a dedicated place of worship for students and staff at the campus.
University officials said the facility is intended to support the spiritual and communal needs of the campus community alongside academic activities.
Vice chancellor reviews campus facilities
During the event, Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman highlighted the role of educational institutions in supporting both academic and personal development. He said the establishment of Masjid Fatima Al-Zahra reflects the university’s efforts to provide an environment that supports learning as well as moral and spiritual growth.

The vice chancellor also conducted a review of the Attock Sub-Campus, inspecting available facilities and ongoing development projects. He expressed satisfaction with the progress made and directed the administration to ensure that necessary resources and services are provided for students.
Plans for academic development
Director Attock Campus Dr. Rifat Hayat thanked the university leadership, faculty and staff who contributed to the completion of the mosque project.
He also outlined plans for further academic expansion at the campus, including improvements in research facilities and student services, with the aim of strengthening the role of the Attock Sub-Campus within PMAS-AAUR.
