Maryam Aurangzeb’s Son Wins by Knockout at Pakistan MMA Contender Series

The Pakistan MMA Contender Series continued with a series of competitive bouts across multiple weight classes, with several rising fighters securing impressive victories. Among the standout performances was Aurangzeb, the son of Punjab Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, who earned a knockout win in the 52-kilogram category.

The event featured male and female competitors from different divisions as Pakistan’s mixed martial arts community continues to develop young talent through national ranking competitions aimed at preparing athletes for international events.

Aurangzeb Secures Knockout Victory

Competing in the 52kg division, Aurangzeb defeated his opponent Faizan by knockout after delivering a dominant performance inside the cage.

Speaking after the fight, Aurangzeb said he entered the contest to build confidence and improve his competitive experience. He added that his long-term goal is to represent Pakistan successfully on the international stage.

Aurangzeb also said his mother, Maryam Aurangzeb, has consistently supported his decision to pursue a career in mixed martial arts. He noted that he trains four to five hours every day and hopes to follow the path of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Other Results from the Pakistan MMA Contender Series

In the second bout of the 56.7kg category, Mohibullah defeated Muaiz Satti after a strong performance.

In the 54kg division, Shayan overcame Nazar by taking control in the final round to secure the victory.

In the women’s 48kg category, Sarah Khan defeated Noor Fatima after a three-round contest.

Federation Focused on Developing MMA Talent

Pakistan MMA Federation President Umar Ahmed said the Pakistan Open Ranking Championship has been held regularly over the past two to three years to provide emerging fighters with opportunities to showcase their abilities.

He said the federation’s objective is to improve Pakistan’s international MMA ranking by identifying talented athletes, providing advanced training, and preparing successful competitors for international championships while maintaining global competition standards.
