Mardan: Acting on the directives of District Police Officer Zahoor Babar Afridi, Jabar Police successfully apprehended a 5-member inter-provincial robbery gang during a significant operation in the Sawal Dher area of Katlang. Utilizing advanced investigative techniques and professional expertise, the police recovered PKR 2.5 million in cash, valuable gold, and three pistols.This success reflects the police’s relentless efforts to combat crime effectively.During the operation, the robbers resisted and engaged in an exchange of gunfire with the police, resulting in SHO Jabar Irfan Khan sustaining injuries. However, his bravery and dedication ensured the operation’s success.The arrested suspects were identified as Ayaz (son of Muhammad Ali) and Nouman (son of Ali Muhammad), both residents of Aman Garh, Nowshera, along with Zeeshan (son of Saleem), Rashid, and Shahzad (sons of Muhammad Usman), residents of Khanabad, Sawal Dher.In a press conference held at Jabar Police Station, SP Rural Ehsan Shah and DSP Katlang Gulshid Khan disclosed that the suspects were involved in a robbery on November 17, 2024, at the residence of Bashir Ahmed. During the incident, the gang looted PKR 700,000 in cash and 20 tolas of gold. The arrests were made possible through the use of modern technological resources and scientific investigation methods.They further stated that the police team, led by SHO Irfan Khan and Inspector Hakeem Khan, worked tirelessly to apprehend the suspects and are continuing raids to capture their accomplices.District Police Officer Zahoor Babar Afridi praised the efforts of the police team, emphasizing that this achievement showcases the police’s commitment to public safety and crime eradication.
