Under the public agenda of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, Provincial Minister for Food Zahir Shah Toru officially inaugurated the cleanliness drive organized by District Administration Mardan and WSCC Mardan along with Members of Provincial Assembly Abdul Salam Afridi and DDAC Chairman Zarshad Khan. Deputy Commissioner Mardan Dr. Azmatullah Wazir, WSCC Board Chairman Engineer Adil Nawaz, Board Member Haroon Rasheed, General Manager Muhammad Khalil Akbar, Managers Rahatullah, Muhammad Ishaq, Deputy Manager Ikramullah and other relevant officials and elders were also present on this occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Provincial Minister for Food Zahir Shah Toru said that under the Chief Minister’s public agenda, the process of improving governance is ongoing across the province, under which steps are being taken to provide timely provision of various services to the people and to improve the environment. He said that the three-week cleanliness campaign in Mardan is also a part of this agenda. He said that during this campaign, the Food Department and Halal Food Authority will also ensure the cleanliness of the markets and shops dealing in food items. He said that during this campaign, government offices, schools, colleges, hospitals and other public and private places including streets, roads, canals and markets will be cleaned. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Mardan Dr. Azmatullah Wazir said that district administration WSCC and TMAs are conducting this three-week cleanliness campaign in Mardan city and all five tehsils and will make Mardan clean with the help of public representatives, business community, students and publicvat large. Members of Provincial Assembly Abdul Salam Afridi and Zarshad Khan said that cleanliness is half of faith, therefore the success of this three-day campaign is the joint responsibility of the administration and the people. He said that the mission of public welfare will be continued under the public agenda of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. On this occasion, the Provincial Minister, Members of Assembly and other dignitaries formally inaugurated the cleanliness campaign.
