MARDAN: Authorities in Mardan Division have finalized arrangements for the smooth, peaceful and transparent conduct of the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT), with 5,459 male and female candidates scheduled to appear in the examination on September 20, 2026.
A review meeting chaired by Mardan Division Commissioner Habibullah Arif examined preparations covering examination centers, security, traffic management, electricity supply, medical assistance and emergency response. Officials said the test will be held across 10 examination halls at six locations in Mardan.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Mardan Wasif Rehman, SP Investigation Maria Mustafa, the Khyber Medical University focal person, District Health Officer, representatives of PESCO, Rescue 1122, Special Branch and other relevant departments.
Security and Emergency Arrangements
Officials briefed the commissioner on measures being taken to ensure security at the examination centers and provide essential facilities to candidates throughout the test.
Commissioner Habibullah Arif directed police, Rescue 1122, the Health Department, PESCO, district administration, Special Branch and other departments to ensure foolproof security, uninterrupted power supply, medical assistance and prompt emergency response.
He instructed all concerned officers to complete their assigned responsibilities well before the examination and maintain effective coordination among departments to address any emergency that may arise.
Focus on Candidates’ Facilities
The commissioner emphasized that the MDCAT is an important examination that can influence students’ future academic and professional paths.
He directed authorities to provide all possible facilities to candidates at examination centers and ensure that administrative, security and emergency arrangements are in place ahead of the scheduled test.
Officials said district-level preparations have been finalized for the September 20 examination, with departments instructed to remain coordinated throughout the process to ensure its peaceful and successful conduct.
