Mardan: Commissioner Mardan Division Nisar Ahmed has said that provision of basic life facilities to the people of Mardan, improvement of cleanliness in the city, elimination of disorderly traffic and illegal encroachments are top of his priorities. He directed to ensure early completion of ongoing mega projects including Benazir Children’s Hospital, DHQ Hospital and Girls Cadet College and to open them to the public. He was addressing an introductory meeting with officials of Mardan district government departments in the conference room of the commissioner’s office and a meeting organized to review ongoing development projects in the district. Additional Commissioner Fayyaz Muhammad, Deputy Commissioner Mardan Dr. Azmatullah Khan Wazir, Secretary to Commissioner Sara Tawab, Additional Deputy Commissioners and officers of all departments participated in the meeting. Deputy Commissioner Mardan gave a briefing to the Commissioner Mardan Division regarding the district profile including ongoing development projects in the district, performance of various departments, ongoing development projects, collection of government revenue, performance of administrative officers in the city and different tehsils, schools and hospitals. He stressed the need to launch a campaign to educate the public and all stakeholders regarding civic responsibilities. He directed to convene a separate meeting regarding public issues related to Sui gas and electricity so that strategies can be formulated in this regard. Commissioner Mardan also directed to compile and present the latest data regarding all ongoing development projects including mega projects so that steps can be taken to remove obstacles in their implementation.
