Mirpur police, under the leadership of SSP Khawar Ali Shaukat, conducted a significant operation in Chakswari, leading to the arrest of a group involved in creating fake local and international driving licenses. Two police officials allegedly involved have been suspended and taken into custody. Investigation is ongoing.
The accused police officers, Arshad and Rasib, were reportedly conducting the illegal license business through a relative, Shiraz. Those arrested include:
Anid Mirza, son of Muhammad Yaqoob, a graphic designer from Muhajir Camp, Islamgarh.
Haroon Rashid, son of Abdul Rashid, the owner of a composing shop from Muhajir Camp, Islamgarh.
Farhan Ali, son of Muhammad Hussain Shah, an agent from Sehnsa, currently residing in Chakswari.
Further investigations are underway to uncover the full extent of the operation.
