Lahore — Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) has appointed global AI pioneer Amir Husain to its University Advisory Board. With this strategic move, the university reinforces its commitment to innovation, research, and global collaboration.
Amir Husain, based in Austin, Texas, is widely known for his work in artificial intelligence, distributed systems, and exponential technologies. He founded SparkCognition, which reached unicorn status. He also co-founded SkyGrid, a joint venture with Boeing focused on autonomous aviation. Additionally, he launched Argon Mechatronics, SpecFive, and Navigate. Today, he chairs WorldQuant Foundry, which backs startups solving global challenges through advanced technologies.
