The distribution of government-subsidized flour is continuing across Lower Dir under the special directives of Deputy Commissioner Basharat Ahmad Khan to ensure that residents can purchase flour at officially fixed prices.
Government flour is being supplied to designated dealers through Talash Flour Mills, with District Food Controller Lower Dir Jawad Ali Khan supervising the distribution process.
According to Jawad Ali Khan, approximately 115 designated dealers across the district receive daily supplies of government flour. The officially fixed price of a 20-kilogram bag is Rs. 2,520, and dealers are required to sell it at this rate.
He said government flour is available through dealers designated by the district administration. Citizens facing overcharging, shortages or other complaints regarding dealers can contact the District Food Controller’s office.
To improve public access, mobile flour distribution points are also being established daily, allowing residents to obtain subsidized flour more conveniently.
The District Food Controller urged citizens to verify official prices, purchase flour from authorised dealers and report any violations to the relevant authorities.
The initiative aims to improve access to essential food supplies and help protect residents from overcharging and distribution-related difficulties.
