The Health Department of Lower Dir has expedited reforms to provide better medical facilities in hospitals. An agreement has been signed with a private company to computerize laboratories in all small and large hospitals. This will also ensure transparency in financial matters of the hospitals.Speaking to media representatives in his office, Dr. Nisar, the District Health Officer (DHO) of Lower Dir, stated that all hospitals in the district have been made operational 24/7 to provide the best medical facilities to the public. Medicines are also being supplied to the hospitals, ensuring that citizens receive healthcare services at their doorstep, resulting in a reduction in their problems.He further added that a biometric system will be installed in hospitals, and the laboratories in all small and large hospitals will be computerized as per the agreement with the private company. Work on this project will begin soon, bringing transparency to financial dealings in hospitals.Additionally, he mentioned that rabies vaccines are now available at district and tehsil headquarters hospitals, and patients can access these vaccines from there.
