KARACHI: L’Oréal Pakistan has launched “Women of Worth Pakistan,” a national platform aimed at recognising women whose work is creating measurable impact across society. The initiative seeks to highlight contributions across social, cultural, scientific and economic sectors, expanding the concept of recognition beyond traditional notions of beauty.

The programme will honour women demonstrating leadership, resilience and sustained contributions, with its first cycle scheduled to run from April to July 2026. Nominations are expected to open later this month through multiple channels.

According to the company, the platform will operate on three pillars — recognition, storytelling and impact enablement — and will acknowledge four honourees along with one “Emerging Voice” under the age of 25 in its inaugural edition. The initiative does not rank participants but instead recognises a cohort of individuals contributing to society in different ways.

L’Oréal Pakistan said the platform builds on its previous initiatives, including PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week and other programmes focused on empowerment, skills development and digital inclusion.

To ensure transparency, the selection process will be overseen by an independent advisory council and jury panel comprising professionals from journalism, academia, healthcare, law and the arts. The council will supervise governance, eligibility criteria and the final selection process.

The platform will recognise women across five categories: social impact and grassroots leadership, science and innovation, arts and culture, sports and resilience, and emerging voices from Generation Z.

Commenting on the launch, Rehan Saeed said the initiative aims to create a long-term national recognition framework that highlights contributions shaping Pakistan’s future.
