ISLAMABAD, September 25 — Liquefied natural gas (LNG) prices in Pakistan have been reduced by more than 21% for September 2026, with the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) notifying new rates for the Sui Northern and Sui Southern systems.
According to the notification, the LNG price for consumers on the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) system has been reduced by $3.83 per million British thermal units (MMBtu).
Following the reduction, the new LNG price for the SNGPL system has been fixed at $15.19 per MMBtu for September.
The LNG price for consumers on the Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) system has been reduced by $3.91 per MMBtu.
The revised LNG price for the SSGC system has consequently been set at $14.22 per MMBtu.

Based on the notified figures, the SNGPL rate represents a reduction of about 20.1% from the previous implied rate of $19.02 per MMBtu, while the SSGC rate is down approximately 21.6% from an implied $18.13 per MMBtu.
The reduction lowers the cost of imported LNG supplied through both major gas distribution systems during September.
