Mardan: A representative delegation of Lady Health Workers and Supervisors Welfare Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa led by Provincial Chairperson Alveena Iftikhar called on Commissioner Mardan Division Nisar Ahmed in his office.DHO Mardan Dr. Javed Iqbal was also present on the occasion. The members of the delegation while briefing the commissioner informed that the problem of their service structure has been pending for a long time despite court order and they were raising the issue on different forum but it was still unresolved. They further said that 4000 health workers of the Integrated Health Project have been deprived of salaries for a long time. The delegation demanded that the service structure for health workers and supervisors and regularization of contract employees of IHP should be approved so that the anxiety among health workers can be removed and they can perform their duties wholeheartedly. Commissioner Mardan Nisar Ahmed praised the key role of lady health workers in corona, polio and other emergencies and assured that he will try to solve their problems at through relevant forum. The members of the association thanked Commissioner Mardan and DHO Mardan for taking interest in solving their problems and vowed to continue to actively play their role in anti polio and other national campaigns.
