Islamabad — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has launched a large‑scale winterization initiative in Pakistan, announcing the distribution of 22,000 Winter Kits to vulnerable communities across 26 of the country’s coldest districts.

The program, part of KSrelief’s annual winter support effort, will reach regions severely affected by harsh weather, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit‑Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, as well as selected areas of Punjab and Sindh experiencing low temperatures. Each kit contains two polyester quilts, warm shawls for men and women, and winter clothing for children and adults.

To ensure transparency and effective implementation, the initiative is being carried out in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Provincial Disaster Management Authorities (PDMAs), the Relief, Rehabilitation and Settlement Department (RRSD) KP, Gilgit‑Baltistan Disaster Management Authority (GBDMA), State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA), local administrations, and the Hayat Foundation.

According to KSrelief, the coordinated effort is expected to benefit more than 154,000 individuals, reaffirming its commitment to alleviating winter hardships and improving the well‑being of vulnerable populations across Pakistan.
