Peshawar: Financial Advisor KP Muzamil Aslam said on Tuesday that $04 billion will be saved due to policy of reusing books in schools.
Presiding over the primary and secondary meeting of the Education and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board here, he said that the printing of 34 million books in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been completed this year against 56.3 million books last year.
He said, the ban on buying and selling new and old textbooks has been introduced.
He said that funds would be provided to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board to distribute textbooks on time.
Muzamil Aslam added, from next year he will give gifts to the teachers and students of the school to keep the book in good condition.
Additional secretary Abdullah Ikram and Textbook Board Chairman Syed Saqlain Gilani attended the meeting.
