Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have received modern thermal and AI-enabled drones to strengthen aerial surveillance, intelligence gathering and policing operations across the province.

According to reports, the drones have been provided to police in 27 districts and seven specialised police units. The Counter Terrorism Department has also received thermal drones for deployment in sensitive districts.

Officials said the drones are equipped with high-resolution cameras and multi-sensor systems, enabling effective monitoring at night and in difficult terrain.

The new technology is expected to improve police surveillance capacity, especially in areas where ground access is limited or security risks are high.
