PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority has set up a special complaint control room to curb food adulteration and ensure the availability of safe food during Ramadan.

Officials said the control room will operate 24 hours a day, allowing citizens to report cases of substandard or unsafe food. Complaints can be lodged through the toll-free number 0800-37432 or via WhatsApp at 0345-1009348.

Director General Kashif Iqbal Jilani stated that all complaints will be addressed on a priority basis, with food safety teams directed to take immediate action. He added that strict legal measures will be taken against violators.

Jilani urged citizens to support the Authority’s campaign against food adulteration by promptly reporting violations, noting that public cooperation is essential to ensuring hygienic food during the holy month.
