PESHAWAR: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has directed 23 provincial departments to hold monthly E-Khuli Kachehris, introducing a digital system aimed at improving citizen access and resolving public complaints more efficiently.
Chief Minister Sohail Afridi instructed ministers and advisers to organize these online public hearings within their departments, giving citizens direct access to senior officials and decision-makers. The initiative, introduced under the “Awam Ka Ehsas” framework, is designed to strengthen transparency, accountability, and responsive governance.
Officials confirmed that the program will also extend to 69 attached, autonomous, and semi-autonomous institutions linked to the provincial departments. Administrative secretaries, heads of formations, and field officers have been ordered to begin implementation from March 1.
Departments will be required to address grievances within defined timelines, while quarterly performance reviews will track progress. To ensure consistency, a special awareness session on standard operating procedures for conducting the E-Khuli Kachehris will be held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
Authorities described the initiative as a significant step toward restoring public confidence in government institutions. By enabling direct interaction between citizens and officials, the government expects quicker administrative responses and more effective policy-level action.
Chief Minister Afridi said the E-Khuli Kachehri system represents a key instrument of good governance, fostering impartial administration and improved service delivery across the province.
