PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have decided to establish special police desks at police stations to address issues faced by the transgender community.
According to Peshawar Police, approval has been granted for the province’s first Transgender Police Desk in Charsadda, aimed at providing a dedicated facility for resolving issues faced by transgender individuals.
Officials said the desks will also include representation from the transgender community, enabling their concerns to be heard and addressed more effectively.
The initiative is intended to provide a dedicated point of contact for transgender individuals seeking assistance with issues involving the police and other related matters.
