KP industries adviser briefed on SIDB initiatives and development plans

PESHAWAR, June 9: Adviser to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Industries, Commerce and Technical Education Humayun Khan was briefed on the activities, achievements and future plans of the Small Industries Development Board (SIDB) during a meeting held in Peshawar.

The briefing focused on the role of SIDB in promoting industrial growth, trade facilitation, investment and economic development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, highlighting ongoing projects and priorities aimed at supporting the province’s business sector and employment opportunities.

Managing Director SIDB Abdul Hameed Khan presented an overview of the organization’s mandate, previous accomplishments, key initiatives and development projects. Secretary Industries, Commerce and Technical Education Amjad Ali Khan, Deputy Managing Director SIDB Noman Fayaz and other officials also attended the session.

Focus on industrial growth and investment

According to officials, the briefing outlined efforts to strengthen the industrial sector through targeted development programmes, investment promotion and support for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Participants reviewed ongoing projects and discussed future priorities intended to enhance economic activity and improve the business environment across the province.

Emphasis on employment and economic development

During the meeting, Humayun Khan appreciated the department’s efforts and stressed the importance of creating a business-friendly environment to encourage investment and industrial expansion.

He also emphasized the need to accelerate industrialization and support initiatives that generate sustainable employment opportunities for people across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The meeting concluded with discussions on advancing industrial development and strengthening economic growth through coordinated efforts between government institutions and the private sector.
