The latest episode of Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 has sparked criticism after a high-intensity elimination stunt reportedly left several contestants injured, raising fresh concerns about safety standards on the reality show.
According to Indian media reports, contestants Gaurav Khanna, Karan Wahi, Vishal Aditya Singh, and Shagun Sharma took part in the challenge, which required them to withstand repeated hits from rubber pellets until they voluntarily decided to stop.
High-Intensity Challenge Tests Contestants’ Endurance
Host Rohit Shetty explained that two contestants from each team would compete in the elimination round, with the challenge ending only when a participant chose to quit.
Although contestants were equipped with spine protectors, the repeated impact of the rubber pellets reportedly caused intense physical pain throughout the stunt.
Before the task began, Gaurav Khanna acknowledged that the challenge would be painful but said difficult stunts were an expected part of the competition. As the intensity increased, both Gaurav Khanna and Shagun Sharma eventually withdrew after being unable to continue.
Contestants Describe Painful Experience
During the stunt, Shagun Sharma appeared to be in significant discomfort. Fellow contestant Jasmin Bhasin urged her not to push beyond her limits, warning that a serious injury could affect her participation in future challenges.
After the episode aired, Gaurav Khanna shared a video on social media, saying the pain had spread across much of his body following the stunt.

The episode triggered widespread debate on social media, where many viewers questioned whether the challenge placed contestants at unnecessary risk.
Several users criticized the show’s producers, arguing that contestant safety should take precedence over creating dramatic television moments. Others called for stricter safety protocols, despite the protective gear provided during the task.
At the time of publication, neither the producers of Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 nor the broadcaster had issued an official statement responding to the criticism.
