Peshawar: The Charlachi Pak-Afghan border near Parachinar, which remained closed for the past nine days due to armed clashes in Kurram district, was reopened on Tuesday. According to border sources, the Kharlachi border, which was closed on September 9 last year, has been reopened for cross-border movement. Soon after it reopened, several vehicles that were stuck at the border went to their destinations on both sides of the border. Drivers and traders stuck at the border heaved a sigh of relief and thanked the border authorities for allowing them to cross the border soon after clashes between rival groups in Kurram stopped.
