Gilgit: Former Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Khalid Khurshid, wanted in a case of anti-terrorism court gilgit, is missing from Gilgit-Baltistan, GB Home Department has sought help from the federal government, the four provinces and the Azad Kashmir government. In a letter written by the Gilgit-Baltistan Home Department to the federal government, the four provinces and the Azad Kashmir Home Department, it has been said that Khalid Khurshid Khan has been convicted by the Gilgit Anti-Terrorism Court and a perpetual warrant has been issued against him, who is wanted under the anti-terrorism charges including sections 153/505 and 506 of the Pakistan Penal Code in FIR No. 156/2024 of the City Police Station Gilgit, however, according to the police report, he is not available in the Gilgit-Baltistan region and jurisdiction. The letter, while seeking help from the federal government and the other five governments, has said that necessary directives may be issued to all the relevant officials and quarters in this regard so that information can be obtained about the movement and presence of the wanted accused Khalid Khurshid so that further legal action can be taken in light of the decision of the Gilgit Anti-Terrorism Court. It should be noted that the Anti-Terrorism Court No. 1 Gilgit in its recent decision had indicted Khalid Khurshid and issued an arrest warrant. Khalid Khurshid was accused of threatening LEA’s and government officials, defaming them, and failing to appear in court despite being summoned.
