Two college students were robbed at gunpoint while preparing to leave for college early in the morning in Karachi’s Model Colony, highlighting continued concerns over street crime in the city.
According to police, the incident took place near Sheet No. 25 in Model Colony, where armed suspects stopped the two students, who were travelling on a motorcycle, and allegedly held them at gunpoint before fleeing with their valuables.
CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced. The footage reportedly shows the two students outside their home when the suspects entered the street and targeted them before escaping after the robbery.
The incident has raised concerns among residents over the safety of students and other citizens during early-morning hours.
Citizens have called on the authorities to strengthen security measures and take steps to curb street crime in Karachi.
