Kangana Ranaut Takes Dig at Naseeruddin Shah, Calls Him a “Fox”

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has criticised veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah amid an ongoing exchange of remarks involving Shah and actor Piyush Mishra.

The controversy began after Naseeruddin Shah criticised Bollywood’s silence over student protests, comparing the film industry to a dog that cannot bark because it has a bone in its mouth.

Shah’s remarks later drew a response from Piyush Mishra, who questioned the veteran actor’s criticism of Bollywood and suggested that Shah should also explain where he was during the protests.

Reacting to Mishra’s comments, Kangana Ranaut sided against Shah and took a sarcastic swipe at the veteran actor.

Kangana said she would prefer to describe Shah as a “fox” rather than a dog, arguing that being compared to a dog could still be considered a compliment because of the animal’s reputation for loyalty.

She further alleged that Shah lives and earns in India while his sympathies lie with a neighbouring country.

Kangana’s latest comments have added another dimension to the public disagreement surrounding Shah’s remarks, further intensifying the ongoing exchange between the actors over Bollywood’s response to student protests.
