Rawalpindi — The Pakistan Army and the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan have successfully concluded their joint counterterrorism exercise, Dostarym-V, at Cherat, Pakistan.
The two-week-long exercise, which began on 14 October 2025, brought together combat teams from the Pakistan Army’s Special Services Group (SSG) and the Kazakhstan Special Forces. The training aimed to enhance the participants’ tactical skills, coordination, and interoperability in counterterrorism operations.
The Commandant of the Special Operations School, Cherat, attended the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest, while the Ambassador and Defence Attaché of Kazakhstan were also present.
During the ceremony, troops from both countries demonstrated high levels of professionalism and operational excellence, showcasing the skills acquired during the joint drills.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the exercise was designed to refine drills, techniques, and procedures involved in counterterrorism operations and to further strengthen the long-standing military-to-military cooperation between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.
The successful completion of Dostarym-V reflects the commitment of both nations to regional peace, stability, and shared security objectives through collaborative training and mutual learning.
