TALASH: The Government and the Assembly who created Form 47 have no right to amend the Constitution. We completely reject the 26th Amendment. Dr. Attaur Rehman.
These views were expressed by Jamaat-e-Islami’s Central Deputy Ameer Sheikh Al-Qur’an and Hadith Maulana Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman while addressing the monthly training gathering organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Dir Lower. District Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Dir Lower Sheikh Al-Qur’an and Hadith Maulana Asadullah Khan, District Qayyam Engineer Hafiz Yaqub-ur-Rehman, Nazim-e-Islami Jamiat-i-Talaba Siddiqullah and others also spoke. To pave the way, people were kidnapped, people were killed, money was used freely, bids were made on certain occasions. The constitution of Pakistan is correct in all respects. There is no need to amend it, but it is has been done for their own purposes. Even if there is a need for amendments in some provisions of the constitution, this authority is not available to a government and an assembly that has come into existence under the guise of Form 47. The right to divorce and annulment of marriage is an Islamic order. Therefore, only the husband is entitled to it, not the wife. Giving extension of interest under the guise of the 26th Amendment is tantamount to war with Allah and the Messenger(SAW). He also said that Jamaat-e-Islami does not believe in nationalism because nationalism is harming the unity of Islam. Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman while giving a message said that the solution of all problems lies in the establishment of Islamic Pakistan and a prosperous Pakistan.
