Veteran Pakistani actress Javeria Saud has revealed that her children often object when she uses beauty filters on her photographs.
Speaking in a recent interview, the actress discussed various topics related to the entertainment industry and social media.
Commenting on beauty standards and the influence of Bollywood celebrities, Javeria said many young women today are inspired by actresses such as Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Kajol and sometimes make efforts to change their appearance to resemble them.
She also shared a lighthearted personal experience involving her children, saying they do not approve of her using filters on photographs.
“Whenever I use filters on my pictures, my children argue with me and tell me not to use them,” she said.
According to Javeria, her children sometimes question why she feels the need to use filters and ask whether she is not satisfied with the way Allah created her.
She added that her children have even deleted filter applications from her mobile phone. However, in a humorous admission, Javeria said she secretly downloads the applications again.
The actress’s comments have sparked discussion around social media filters, beauty standards and the pressure to alter one’s appearance online.
